If you’re keen on technology, its past and possibilities, The Museum of Municipal Engineering will make you love Cracow to the end of your life. This unusual attraction was founded by the Municipality of the City of Krakow in 1998 and it gathers the historical objects whose main goal is to show the museum’s guests the development of Cracow’s urban transport and public utilities. The museum is located at 15 św. Wawrzyńca Street, in the oldest tramway shed of Cracow.
The attractions are located in three halls and they belong either to the permanent or to the temporary exhibitions. The first category is represented by the events entitled „History of Polish motor vehicles”, „Around the Wheel”, „More light” and even „Printing in Cracow 15th - 20th Century”. The second type of exhibition is harder to define – recently, there was a chance to discover the popular series „From the laboratories of Krakow’s scientists”. If you’d like to learn more about the attractions of the moment, visit the Museum’s official website. Generally, it’s good to be prepared for the visit which takes about 1.5 hour… or even more for the most inquisitive tourists. The Musuem of Municipal Engineering is located between the Seweryn Udziela Ethnographic Museum and the Galicja Jewish Museum.
